The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions are a European Commission Funding Programme which supports researchers at all stages of their careers, across all research disciplines and in all employment sectors. The Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions ensure excellent and innovative research training as well as attractive career development and knowledge-exchange opportunities through cross-border and cross-sector mobility of researchers, to better prepare them for current and future societal challenges. They also aim to reinforce cooperation between academia and all types of non-academic organisations (companies, libraries, hospitals, public bodies etc.) in terms of research training, career development and knowledge transfer.
The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions are a key part of Horizon 2020, the successor to the 7th Framework Programme, which will run from 2014 until 2020.
The Irish Marie Skłodowska-Curie Office is jointly operated by the Irish Universities Association and the Irish Research Council. The office provides advice and support on preparing applications for Marie Skłodowska-Curie funding and the management of Marie Skłodowska-Curie awards. Whether you are an Individual Researcher looking for a fellowship, a Principal Investigator seeking to build a European research network, or any organisation looking to develop their research capacity, there is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action for you.
